Polar Electro, the company known for heart rate monitors, has launched a Web site that will enable sports fans to track performance and position data from various pro teams during each tour stage.

Each day, top riders from Polar-sponsored teams are selected and tracked through the entire race stage. Visit the site at http://livedata.polar.fi.

Displayed information will include: heart rate, speed, cadence, power (wattage), altitude, and L-R pedaling balance. All of this information is made available through Polar’s cycling computers and telemetry technology. Live positioning via Google Maps will also be displayed.

The Tour began on July 5 and will end July 27. The race is made up of 21 stages and covers a total distance of 3,500 kilometers (2,175 miles).
