Curious about calories? Then you might want to check out a new text messaging service by Diet.com called “Nutrition on the Go.”

The service is free to all users. The way it works is you text the following info to DIET1 (34381):

• Name of restaurant

• Menu item

• Size (if applicable)

In a flash, you’ll receive a text message back with the amount of calories, fat, carbs and protein in your specified food item. For example, if you were to text "McDonalds Fruit Parfait" to DIET1 (34381), you would receive "McDonald's Fruit 'n Yogurt Parfait, Cal: 160, Fat: 2g, Carb: 31g, Protein: 4g." The system has access to more than 36,000 foods at 1,700 restaurants around the U.S.
